On Trinity Sunday, Revd Ian Millgate explores the doctrine of the trinity using Paul's final greetings from 2 Corinthians 13 v 14, that we often call The Grace and use as a benediction - the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ; the Love of God and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

God brought people from across the region to meet in Jerusalem, to receive the power of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. This was a vast area stretching from Parthia in the east to Rome in the west. Janet shows how the gospel spread and amazing things happened as his people were on the move. We never know how God will use us; we do know that he prepares the way. Whether we choose to move or are forced to move by circumstances, God can use either for his purposes.

Jesus comes alongside Cleopas and his walking partner as they journeyed back to Emmaus from Jerusalem. Their eyes were kept from recognising the risen Jesus. They had not understood what the prophets had said about the messiah. At the end of the walk, they invited Jesus to stay and share a meal, where their eyes were opened. Paul Rhodes brings his series on the promises made to Abram to a conclusion by looking to the end times. God will fulfil His promises to restore the Jewish nation and graft them back into the tree of faith, creating a unified church of jews and gentiles, who by faith, believe and have received the messiah. In his second part of The Promises to Abram series, Paul Rhodes delves deeper into the conditional promise God made to his people – they would inhabit their promised land, providing they remained faithful to him. We see how God’s people were persistently unfaithful, they divided into two, Judah and ten tribes of the north, Israel. In AD 70, the Romans attacked Jerusalem and destroyed the temple. The rejection of the Messiah resulted in God’s people being exiled for almost 2,000 years.

Paul Rhodes discusses the conditional and unconditional promises that God made to Abram, with insight to how these promises applied to Abram and his future generations - including our generation.
