PAUL RHODES
Pastor

Paul became our pastor in 2005 , after studying at Bristol Baptist College, previous to that Paul was a Maths Teacher. Paul has a calling for teaching and developing the gifts and ministries for use in the church and in the community. Paul, 50, is married to Katy and has two grown up Children.
 

RICHARD WILSON
Treasurer

Richard looks after the church’s finances, ensuring we are doing the right things with the money that has been given to us. Richard is married to Tamsyn and they have one son, he works as a director of IT service operations for Cable & Wireless and is keen to build his own house one day.

ALAN STRONG 
Fabric and Hospitality

Alan is responsible for the fabric, catering and hospitality, a very busy job as his team welcomes you to Caversham Baptist Church.  He also has a particular desire to see men come to faith, and is involved in BMM.  Alan is married to Shirley and has two grown up sons and four grandchildren. 

STEVE BURT

Steve oversees the website and also some of our evening services. He is also one of our teachers and preachers, although he thinks he’s a young leader but growing all the time. Steve is married to Katie and they have three girls, by day he’s an IT engineer. 

SUE CANTWELL
Prayer and Worship

Sue looks after the prayer life of the church, a cornerstone of a worshipping community.  She is also one of the church’s worship leaders, and plays piano in the worship band. Sue is married to Steve and they have two grown up children, she is a public consultation manager for Thames Water.

JONATHAN LANGLEY
Overseas mission

Jonathan has oversight for some of the church’s mission work and haranguing the congregation about global injustice and poverty. During the day he works for BMS World Mission as a writer and audio producer, and in his spare time he writes for several Christian publications. He is married to Dianna, a very tolerant fellow South African.
